We love it when we get the opportunity to be really creative. When we were asked to create business cards for Pure Love Bakery in Byesville, Ohio a pretty cool idea hit us. What if we went with an icing and sprinkle look on the cards and made each one a different “flavor”? Of course, this was one of those ideas that could have gone either way… the client could like our “outside the box” approach to their card design, or she could request that we stay inside the lines on this one. Lucky for us she really liked the idea!
Instead of just going with 500 cards with one design, we split the order up with 250 of each design. We called the pair of designs strawberry and chocolate.
After the customer received her initial cards she asked for some loyalty cards to match. So, what did we do? Well, the logical thing of course. We added “vanilla” cards to the mix.
All cards were printed on a 16pt card stock with a UV gloss which made the bright colors pop and because they are for a food-related business, the high gloss coating allows the cards to be wiped down easier than an uncoated, linen, or matte card. See now, we have to think these things through.
